The Tasmania University Law Society (TULS) Constitution provides the formal framework for the governance, objectives, and operations of the Society. It outlines the roles of office bearers, election procedures, membership rights, and how the Society conducts its affairs.
The By-Laws operate adjacent to the Constitution, providing for additional TULS policies and the duties and responsibilities of Committee members.
The TULS/TUSA behavioural matrix outlines the standards of conduct prohibited at TULS events and the consequences for breaches of these standards. Any person attending a TULS event is encouraged to familiarise themself with this policy.
This UTAS document governs the standard of acceptable student and staff behaviour to provide a safe, supportive and healthy environment for all community members. TULS is committed to upholding this standard. For more information or to make a complaint or disclosure, see the UTAS website.
The TULS Committee Contract provides the general obligations and standards of conduct expected by a TULS Committee Member in addition to their responsibilities under the By-Laws. The Contract is issued to newly elected Committee Members to signify their acceptance of the role and may be relied upon as evidence for a vote of no confidence.
To be used alongside section 17 of the Constitution “Voting in a General Meeting”, this ballot provides a standard form for manual anonymous voting on a general or special resolution.
