2026 TULS Oceans & Antarctic Law Moot
This competition aims to encourage law students to engage with the unique and globally significant area of Oceans and Antarctic law. Due to Hobart’s position as a key gateway to Antarctica, we are uniquely well placed to draw on leading experts in the field. This year, we are excited to extend this invitation as the TULS Oceans and Antarctic Law Moot enters its first year as an intervarsity competition.
The objective of the competition is to deepen students’ understanding of legal issues relating to Antarctica, including international environmental law, sovereignty, and governance under the Antarctic Treaty System. The problem question has been developed by Professor Jeffrey McGee, an expert in Antarctic law and governance.
